In line with Colegio de Dagupan’s PVMO, the institution has proven once again that it is ready to take challenges from the outside world. Dated August 1, 2010, the institution has sent its students to AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City to attend the 5th Annual Conference of Journalism and Masscom Students of the Philippines pioneered by Comguild Center for Journalism, an award-giving body that recognizes the exemplary work of local broadcasters and news presenters deliberated by a reputable Board of Judges comprised of highly regarded educators, heads and the deans of different colleges and universities in the country.

The seminar with its theme "Pursuit of Mass Media towards Responsible Broadcast Journalism”, aimed to create responsiveness and knowledge in students concerning journalism ethics and standards.

Overwhelming response from all schools who never fail to support Comguild’s endeavor filled the venue with big smiles and hopes for new learning.

Here is the ever supportive set of speakers, hosts and winners in the said event.

· Mr Ted Failon (2010 Most Outstanding Male News Presenter)

· Ms Karen Davila (2010 Most Outstanding Female News Presenter)
